The 2 hardest things for me were the lantern, which I had to wipe out about 5 times & the slope of the roof, which was totally wrong the first time! Had to get this done now, as we'll be travelling later this month - earliest I've ever been for a workshop! Learned some valuable lessons doing this one! Posting it on the same page as Richard's masterpiece is not a good idea :)

Thank you Jan for your lovely comment - Richard's demonstration on painting the balcony rails using a mahl stick & thinned out paint made all the difference - I just used a dowel I had lying around, but plan to make myself something better because I see it's a great tool to have.
Very impressed by the straight lines of the balcony rails. That was very challenging and you nailed it. The drawing and textures are great.
