Harold, typo ... grayer, not prayer.
I think you nailed the glow pretty well, Harold. The intensity of your yellow highlights on the mountains are ..well, too intense ... suggest you gray those highlights with some of the violets you employed in the mountains. ... lighten them a little more also. Th branch needs to be darkened .. especially at the end so it comes more forward. The shape behind the branch end needs to be cooler and prayer s it does not look like it sits on top of the branch.
Wow, nice painting ... the bird is wonderful! I wonder if his right shoulder looks a bit off ? (maybe its just me). Your mountains on the right are really good - lots of highlights, shadows and inbetweens -- very nicely done. The bright light behind the bird, however, is just a bit overpowering, almost drawing too much attention away from your beautiful bird -- (just my opinion). Good work otherwise.
