Dear artist friends,
I just wanted to say Hi and to let you know how much I miss everyone here and all the beautiful art.
I missed a few workshops and I have to catch up with everything..
Since my son decided to go in Marines I have to admit that I lost my mojo and wasn't able to paint too much.. :-(
Well, I feel much better now and hopefully I will be back soon at work..
He just graduated and I am so glad to have him back home even for just a short period of time.. He has to go back In San Diego,Ca for another hard training and after that he will continue his studies at the Military Academy in Missouri.

Just a happy mom

Best wishes to you all and Happy painting! :-)

Dear Ana, thanks again for your kind words,  compliments, and encouragements! Yep, you hit the nail in the head.. you ''read'' me so well.. I couldn't hide my emotions under that big smile.. I know he will be fine, I will be fine, and yes, life is sometimes hard but just beautiful!
Back in my studio... too many blank canvases awaiting me.. :-)

Thank you again,dear friend!

Joy, blessings

Hi Cristina! What a beautiful photo!  Oh Cristina,I can see you've got to that point in your life when you "have to let it go". What is the price for it? Only you can answer, but you are not alone nor the first one and sadly or the last. The title said "A happy mum", of course you are happy, only the smile on your face doesn't express it.  Now I understand why you did not been active on this site for so long. I personally missed you. As a friend with some experience in "life" I give you a heartfelt advice: Pic up the brush even if you have to hold it in your hand for hours and do nothing with it, put some music on even if you do not listen to it, throughway the brush if you feel like, stop the music, scream, pick up the brush again, face an empty canvas and paint your pain away,it's ugly than paint your pride and happiness, it's beautiful. Immerse yourself in your work, it's not easy but it works. I know it works because I tried it more than once. Don't despair life is still beautiful, hard but beautiful. Dear Cristina I only hope I was not too hard on you, You have my full compassion. I wish all the best to you and your handsome son. Happy painting!

I was raised by a Marine, and even though you will never love him more than you already do, you will love what the Marine Corp will do for him.  Pendleton is not a bad place for the "hard training."

Cristina, we have missed you!  Understand why you have not been in a painting mood, Best wishes and safe keeping for your son!  You are too cute and young to have a son that age though, thought at first it was your boyfriend!

Cristina, thank you for posting these lovely photos of you and your son. As a mother I can understand that it's not an easy time for you but you must feel very proud of him,  I too hope you will soon get back to your painting - it can be very therapeutic and the encouragement from your friends on this site will help I am sure. God bless.
