Hi Mike,
Great Feedback. Thank you.
Faisal
Hi Faisal, I agree with everyone's comments ... love your simplified shapes. Please allow me to point out a couple of things for everyone's benefit. Although you did a very nice job of keeping most of your shapes different in sizes, don't forget that reflections, and the masses that are causing the reflections, would read "better" if they were a different size. 2. your 2 trees on the right .. they are really too much the same shape ... also, in that grouping, I would suggest you chop a few inches off the left tree .. that way you will eliminate that V shape in the corner, AND .. you will be giving the sky a better shape. It would not hurt to take that forward small rock in the water, and push it back behind the foreground rock and maybe a little larger so that it overlaps the dark cliff and the first rock overlaps the small rock. Those 2 small rocks are an important element to create the illusion of depth and to give you eye movement and vertical balance .... use them wisely, my friend .. don't just put them anywhere and call it a day. :))))
Lovely!
Thanks Candi and Glenys. Candi, I am planning to write a small tutorial about simplifying shapes, values and using broken colors... Hopefully it will be soon with an example... I do not know when that soon will be.. :)
Love how you simplified shapes Faisal! ( something I am incapable of)
I like your colour palette Faisal, very harmonious
