Thank you, Pauline. I just spent time for those details, that is it. Pauline,By the way, I want to take this advantage to ask you something. About my work of Workshop24, you suggested that I grey down a bit those oranges at the foreground. I did it for the rocks. But now, when I look at the painting, I found that those orange flowers are too obvious in high chroma. I realized that I might misunderstand what you mean about the orange. I should grey down those flowers, is that right?
Fabulous painting Ningning, your people are so real. Enjoyed the story too:-))
Yes, yes Ningning thank you! I like to paint something it touched me.
Laura, Thank you. Next time, if you want to paint similar scene we may exchange idea.
Ningning, thank you for telling me the story. I love the painting and It is really impressive.
Ann, thanks for your approval and encouragement. But most of all your valuable suggestion.
Beautiful painting, Congratulations ! Great job taming that wave
Laura, Thanks. Let me tell you the story. We were invited to a beach house for the eve of the new year last year. We were arrived there in the late afternoon. We saw, at the balcony, this old man standing there and the boy shouting at the waves. It was very far away. But we took photos. The photo my husband took were much better than mine. So I used his photo as a reference to paint. I thought that the boy was making a early new year wish and hoped that those waves could understand him. So I tittled it as "A wish to the waves". There was no bog in the photo. I looked from my reference photos and found one and put him there to make the painting more interesting. Karlo and Ann helped me a lot to make it looks like now.
I corrected this painting by greied down the green wave at the left. It used to be too high chroma as you can tell from the previous photos. Karlo and Ann pointed it and told me that it will attract too much attention of the viewers and I should always concern about the center of interest. Karlo even spent time to show me how to do it. I really appreciate the effort Ann and Karlo made to improve it. It will be a donation to the Noche de Música event to help the local children. Again, Many thanks to you whom encouraged and helped me by taking your time to comment and click the like button to make it done.
