I found this really challenging -I scraped the whole thing or sections of it off more than once! This is the 2nd time I've painted a rose & having done so, I have even more admiration for those artists on this site who paint flowers so beautifully!

Thank you Nancy! I see a lot of things that need improvement!
Thank you Sharon!
I like the light yellow, came out good!
Thank you very much Ana and Dorian! I have painted this again & will post the next try, but I think it must take lots of practise to paint it like Richard does!
Jessica, it's beautiful! I have to confess that I wiped off several times parts of my rose in the process. I thought will be easier but it proofed to be "not easy" as Richard said in the video. You've done a great job!
Your persistence paid off. It was extremely difficult for me. Beautiful Rose Jessica. Sending you smiles :-)
Thanks Susan for your encouraging comment :) Maybe I'll try it again if I have time - flowers are not an easy subject for me I think! Certainly good practise in trying to paint shapes & values accurately with as few brush strokes as possible.
We've all had paintings we scraped off or scrapped completely! If this is only your second rose, you should be very proud of a job well done!
