12x9, oil on board. If I don't post it I will change it. So, love to get second thought before I do anything on it.

Jessica, many thinks for your comment! I see what you mean now regarding the triangle shape roof. I will correct these areas to make a better painting.

It's a very attractive painting, Laura, lovely warm feeling - I agree with what Michael & Joy suggested, changing the roof line and adding a darker slanted shadow to the window openings will make a big difference!  I think there is a small line of roof missing from the top of the triangle shape towards the tall tower.

Hi Michael, you made my day! I was thinking go back the place today to fix something or repaint it. It is a unusual building. It is hard to describe it. I am glad I have photo to attach here so you can look at it. Tell me what is the name of the bushes in the front of the building if you know, Michael. I am thinking trim down little bit right side tree as it is too heavy I feel, what do you think? If I repaint it I will make the bushes more abstract way as it is too much now. I don't know how to paint them. Too Too much to learn!!!

Hey Laura.  I love your concept here.  You are really beginning to understand color harmony ..as this is a nice double complimentary color scheme ..maybe a little equal ..but very good .if I do say so myself.  I like the size dominance of the tower ..which tells us it is the most important element in your painting ...look at me it says!!!.  Your have harmonized and unified your painting  with color, design, and dominance.  There is a little ambiguity in the form of the building ...that little roof to the right of the tower that sits behind/on top?   of the slanted roof . Where is its place in space? ..what direction is it facing?  what part of the building is it?  do you see the ambiguity I am talking about.  I would like to suggest you show a little more of the rear of the building as it comes from behind the tower ..I think it would clarify the drawing a little and give a better shape to that empty space on the left of the tower?   Okay, I like the way you have gradated the foreground toward the light ..well done!!  Great piece Laura!!

Thank you so much Thomas, Joy for your comments! It Always go next one! Joy, I agree with you all and I thought same thing. When I start to paint the both side are at sunny side, but the shadow side is little darker. I was hesitant if I should push some darks on the shadow side during my painting time. I will go back the same place next Tuesday so I can correct these areas. Thank you both for such thoughtful comments!

Hi Thomas, I am very happy for your comment and thank you! I am not sure about right side trees. I feel it is too heavy and about same high with the tower which compete each other. I was struggled on painting tree(bush) leaves on front of building. So much unsure with the painting.

Nice study Laura! What is it that makes you think of retouching it?
