Hi Ed, Yes I do spray either a matte finish, or glossy, depending on how I want it to look.  And of course, I always spray my pastel paintings when they are done, so they don't get smeared.

Yupo is a synthetic paper which is very smooth and glossy.  It's a challenge to paint on, especially with watercolors which I really like using.  But I've found that pan pastels are wonderful to use on yupo, because of it's smoothness.
