Thank you Jan for your great comment. Yes we do indeed have very bright colours in our landscape here in Australia. The colours in this painting are very typical of the scenery in the 'bush' and I'm pleased to say my husband and I are heading out that way in a few weeks time. I'm looking forward to it.

This type of ligt is special for me because I live in the nortern part of europe and we are familiar with  a grey light.

I like your vivant colors and again the beautiful light.

I really like the energy of this. The complementary blue/orange scheme works very well and I particularly like the bright flash of lilac/grey/blue in the front left. I think it is finished. Any more would detract.

Thank you Silvana and Ann for your lovely comments.  Yes, Ann I do indeed love this subject.  My husband and I do a lot of travelling into the Outback and the deserts and my heart sings every time I see that red dirt as it generally means that we have reached the Outback!
