Thanks Cristina, how are you doing?! Miss seeing your work on here lately.
Love the brush strokes, beautifully done Candi!!
Thanks Jessica
Wonderful painting!
Thanks for checking this out Ann!
Its all about color for me ! Big impressive brushstrokes and feeling of energy
Thanks Michael, and Happy Birthday!!! Saw somewhere that Lori and Laura had wished you one, is it today? CELEBRATE! I finished these up this morning at home, the first day (the church) was very frustrating, but by the third day, had figured out how to get everything right to even get started!..so felt more relaxed. Comparing these to Saim's paintings, I have a looong way to go, and to yours...OMG, I could paint day and night. By the way, I gave him your website to check out, told him how great your work was, and how very knowledgeable and helpful you were.
Candi, this is very, very good!! You have nailed the tonal values my friend!!! I love your composition and the placement of the structure ....low horizon so the dwelling is elevated to a lofty status in the painting. I love the way you have achieved color harmony with the use of a split complimentary scheme. I noticed you stated that this was the first time you plein air painted? ....wow! ....looking at your 3 paintings executed outdoors ..I would say to ditch your photos and continue painting from life ....you are a natural!!!
