I love your colour and value very much. Maybe the reflection of the boat could be a bit darker, just an idea.

Thanks, Ann - I did continue it... well, on to the next for now...

Looks good Jon , frame it and don't forget to sign it. My favorite part of the painting is the light coming from the windows of the boathouse.

Hi, Ann. Ok, I've followed your and Aurelia's suggestion and lightened that building (in fct I then proceeded to reapint quite a lot of it, have I runied it? dunno. Seems to me it's az painting that requires to be done big and carefully and with a fair amounbt of detail...)

Silvana - I just paint over them, like you say. (I'll keep the best if ever there are any! :(   )

Jessica - yep that was the idea - thanks for noticing! This is at least the third painting of barges I've done - I like 'water'/boat subjects...

Colleen - hey, thanks muchly!!

Very, very nice! Lovely & interesting focal point with the warm lights in the cabin of the barge.

You did Jon keep the energy in it! I wonder, what do you dowith all the versions? Do you paint over them again and keep the one you like best?

Nice use of rich color ! The boat is great and the trees/water support it. I also have concern with the tall dark shape at the upper left. It is a hard straight line with high contrast that goes straight out of the painting. If you cut the high contrast and soften the edges it will make it less noticeable. The little bits of orange that you let show works to pull the painting together and generally warm a cool painting. Nice !

Thanks Aurelia, the photo is very bad - all the same you could well be right - I'll check it out/study it.

Thanks, Karlo - that's kind of ya'!

Hi, Londa - yeah, the fact I did it three times meant that I sort of studied the scene more carefully and synthesized it notices things like the refelection - maybe I'm going too fast noramly!
