I'm so pleased you pointed that out Michael - I've painted the beacon lens red now and it's made a huge difference.  When it's dry I'll give it another coat to try and make it brighter.  Thank you so much for your suggestion.

Fay, I agree with previous comments .... may I suggest that you find a way to make that lighthouse? ..pop .. maybe by introducing a saturated color ..... something like you did with that red roof in the distance.

Thank you so much Silvana. This iconic navigation mark in the Waitemata Harbour is well known to Auckland boaties.  I'm hoping someone will love it enough to buy it!

Thank you so much Jon.  I'm busy trying to get some paintings completed for several exhibitions coming up in the next couple of months and two of the exhibitions are at yacht clubs hence the nautical theme!  I love Richard's workshop painting this month but feel I have to concentrate on painting originals at the moment.
