Thanks Richard. I thought of you as we drove past Ruakaka yesterday but guessed you were still in Hawaii. We had a rather rushed trip so didn't have time to stop anyway.

Really looking forward to this next challenge now we are home again.

Thanks for your comments folks. I really enjoyed painting this one. It scares me seeing that family out on the ledge of rock though! I painted my man too small so did a larger one and it seemed to turn into a family.

Hazel. This is one of my favorite work of yours. It is impressive but peaceful at the same time. You told me that You love paint nature and better of doing it. Now I see. I love everything of this one. the composation, the color. Especially the way you paint the water and waves and strong contrast between violent movement of the water and peaceful background with a happy family on the rock. You even carefully employed the color harmony of their tiny clothes.Very interesting. In one word, I appreciate your attitude to your painting.
