Just the right amount of detail and looseness that is so hard to achieve with flowers!  I love the cool/warm interplay of the reds!

lovely comments, many thanks Jan, Michael, Craig, Ruby, Candi and Ramya, you know Michael you must be a bit psychic as the photo I copied from had the hydrangea more in the background but like Candi, I loved the colour so bought it into focus.  so I agree with what you say as well, thanks always for your helpful comments.

Beautiful work Glenys .. as always from one of my favorite artists on this site.  I would like to suggest that the violet  flower in upper left is not needed .. actually distracts ... or maybe it just needs to be more part of the background?
