Thank you so much Jen, I aas thinking the sme thing ... Those holes were a bear to do, but just need a bit more. I am out if town until this weekend, and will work on it then and repost. I would be so grateful to you if you would give it another look when I have worked on it some more. Thanks again!

Pandalana, hi. As said before, I do like this a lot especially the copper with its reflections. You asked for suggestions and may I agree with yours, maybe to put some touches of light around the holes, where the light touches, and a tiny bit of red inside. Zooming in on the ref photo (270%) showed these edges up quite well and just by doing so feel this little touch would finish off beautifully. Strawberries are just coming in now and seeing your great painting can't wait for mine to grow, still only flowers at present.

My husband said the same thing; that I should ave left the holes out of it and made it look like a bowl, but they were in the reference photo and I wanted to try it. It looks like an awesome collander! Having it cropped like that you can't see all of the holes. I am wondering if I should add more red ( from the strawberries in the collander ) like I have in a couple of the holes, or if I should not have any red in any of the holes. ... or maybe add a little light reflection around the edge of some of the holes to make them look more like holes? Any suggestions?

Thank you for the compliments AND the input! :D

Oops, Thanks. Forgive me Pandalana for my comment, did not realise as have not seen copper colander before with only a few holes. Now explained understand.

Yep, black holes is because it is a collander :)
