Dear Sharon I thank you for your comment. I totally agree with your observation and this means that Sargent knew what he did And I followed him as close as I could to my ability and knowledge.

This is a splendid painting, George. Your colors work so well together.

Thank you for your nice compliment Pauline. Your observation is more evident in the original painting (shame that the photo is not allways reading same quality of image) If I will have the second opportunity to visit Bath I will bring it with me to show you. As about Bath and all the beautiful area in which you live I can say that I remained without words when seeing the places. And what remembres me also with the pleasure of the hungry tourist is the meat pankakes which I tasted in the Bath streets. Beautiful and planty of history place!

It is a very beautiful and eye catching painting George, I admire your use of colour!

Thanks dear Pauline for your remarks which are really aspects to which I reflected before starting the painting. I red about Sargent's methods and techniques even not to much information from him available. Sargent was not too much for comunication and/or instructions for others. I found that whenhe was asked to do so he replied that "I find the greatest difficulty in making it clear to pupils, even with the palette and brushes in hand and with the model" But I red the Thomas Jefferson works „Advice on Painting from John Singer Sargent” and found lots of sayings and quotes in which Sargent was describing aspects of his technique. Also in RR video demo one can find some of those comments of Sargent. Regarding your comments about the water and its compliments in the sail I insisted to add more color in each part of the painting just to emphasize what Sargent did in his oil painting especially when he painted water reflections. All the best to you

Hi George I love how your water compliments your beautiful sail - it's a really lovely painting - you always do colour so well!
