It is so great Carolyn! The water is so beautifully done. I love the leaves on the rocks too.
Robin, Sharon, Cristina, thank you for enjoying and commenting on my painting. I was using a modified Zorn's palette (Viridian was the addition.) Jo's painting was very dark, and therefore pretty depressing to me, especially at the moment. So I did it "His Way", then to make me happy, I scraped and did it "My Way" ;*)
Wonderful movement of the water, lovely composition and choice of colors!
Wonderful capture of the power of the water
Thanks to you both for the welcome back and the nice remarks on the painting. It was a toss-up as to weather it would make the cut or be tossed...most who participated agreed this one was tough using Turner's palette and black, which dominated too much prior to ye ole' scraping technique. (Good to be back!)
Welcome back, Carolyn - glad to see you are back painting! Lovely light in the background.
Love the movement in the water Carolyn and the atmospheric background.
Thank you Silvana! I've truly missed all my painting buddies and the perpetual encouragement. Had to give away my "slice" but it has been exciting to see Sargent x 80 come together. Haven't had time to view all the fabulous work I've missed...plan on doing the new challenge. Have 1/2 done work to finish as well.
Very nice Carolyn! Happy to see you back!!!!!!!!!!
