Very interesting Michael, I will be waiting for your sketch, I might just start a new painting.

Hi Steinunn.  Okay ..Here are my suggestions:  Cut into your cliff on the left side and give it a better abstract shape ..show more sky in that area ...then take the outboard motor boat out and replace with another type boat (with a mast) but put it so we are looking at its side, sitting along the dock.  Suggest you paint the cliffs with cool grays, but put broken color warms into it.   Keep it dark, like you have it now, on the right and slowly move into light on the left.   I will send you a sketch to your mailbox.

Thank you so much Michael for your valued comment on my broken color.  Yes, I can see that now, a lemon and pinks would be right, thank you.  The warm mass in the background is a cliff, called "Neðri Kleifar" on the mountain "Heimaklettur.  I might send in the photo for you to look at.  This was the start of my painting.

Great example of broken color in the water and side of the boat !

Great broken color effects on the water and hull of the boat!!  On the white side, you could add some lemon yellow and some light pinks in a broken color effect ....  it will give you a prismatic sunlight effect. Steinunn,   What is the warm mass in the background? ...trees?
