Acrylic 11x14. This is my final version of this workshop. When I was studying the cliffs to fix the values and looking at Richard's paintings again, I realized I had the temperatures of the cliffs inverted and that since I wasn't going for the 'glow', the yellow grass on top of the cliffs was out of place so I fixed that as well as a few other things.....and of course, now looking at the painting as I type this, I realize I have to tone down most of the highlighted grass by the front cliff....if I didn't love painting so much, I think I'd hate it--there's always one more thing!!!

Nice work on the cliffs Susan.
it is so good , I love the subtle shades :)
Thanks Cristina, Laura and Michael. It's the blend of encouragement and critique on this site that spurs us on to do better paintings. I learned a lot from this workshop!!!
Quite well painted, Susan, I love the warm, reflected light on your cliff ...with those nice few hints of cool!!! .. great stuff! I love the gradation in your beach ..cool to warm!! ..but keeping the value the same ..excellent. Yes, I agree, once you desaturate your foreground greens, you will be satisfied with your painting. :))
Nice Job, Susan!
I hear you Susan...it is always something that needs to be redone...but I think this is just part from our learning journey.. You really did a wonderful job!! Lovely!
