Original acrylic by Jeri McDonald. 40x40 This painting was created over another very textured birthday cake style flower picture, so I had to sand it off with an electric sander before I could add back in a completely different painting. Working with the stuff underneath, I had to figure out my plan. So I went with Bouganvillas. Using a mixture of modeling paste and gel medium, I put that on first, let it dry, painted and then put a wash of burnt umber on it wiping it out of the crevices to get the antique look.

that blue and rust colors are magical together. I simply just love your style. The antiquing came out well.
