Well, I am back home after taking care of my newest grandson. Thanks to all of you for your congratulations. I haven't painted for almost a month. Too long to not be creating. I've posted this painting from the last workshop and made a number of changes suggested by Michael. I think the changes have improved my painting. Thanks so much Michael.

Ann and Jessica, thanks for your special comments
Lovely painting!
Hi Sharon, congratulations of the new Grand. Not sure what you did but this is lovely. The warms and cools play against each other nicely. I also enjoy the little vignette of the boat and figures in the back. It compliments the the whole scene and adds a feeling of summertime enjoyment. Congratulations
Thanks Betsy, glad you are back
Thanks Michael, I noticed the floating pier after I posted and it is already fixed. Thanks so much for your help.
Yes!! Those little "tweaks" really gave the building form and a sense of it being in its own space ..it just "feels" right now ...it feels 3D now a before there was little form and very 2 dimensional. You have a nice complimentary color scheme of blue/green and red/orange ..very nice. No big deal, but there is one thing I see. The right pier looks like it is floating. All you need to do here is put a little dark reflection under it ..that will take care of that!!! This painting is very "painterly".
Congratulations on the grandson. I've been away from the board (for work) lately, and I didn't know the great news. This is MUCH better. I really like it. Great job!
