Michael, I interpreted to continue reading this modern  old a good book,,perhaps a person of these  times there leaves  its modern lenses to continue reading it,.

Lol! Yes indeed, Michael. But you stated it so well.

Geez, doesn't anyone share my whimsical thoughts about the subliminal story behind this painting?

Well done, Mario. This is my kind of still life composition. Nice use of complimentary colors, texture, light and dark values Love the glasses and their reflections. Now, it leaves me to wonder about those titles.... ;*)

Excellent job at creating the texture on those books as well as the shine on the table and apple. I like the extreme lighting as well as the reflection you have captured in the glasses. This is very fun! A stack of old books is definitely on my list of things to paint. My daughter is an avid reader and collector of classics ( = She would love this. Oh, and I really like those couple of pages just barely showing up out of your dark side too. So nice!

Another beautiful painting, Mario.  Interesting collection of objects!

Beautifully painted Mario!!  I love the contrast you set up with the shiny objects against the non  shiny books, and the contrasts of textures!   Mario, I see the story behind your painting as kind of biblical .. with the "Apple of knowledge" and the books.  The cool sunglasses then gives us a more modern look at that whole thing.  Am I over analyzing that Mario?
