Smiles : ))
Big is great fun - but expensive (in materials!), Silvana - but often works well if you know where you intend to go!
Thanks, Michael - 'preciate it. For me it's as remote as the moon!
Thanks, Marisa - I need to be paradoxically looser but less "clunky" - difficult!!!
so loose and lovely that is how I would like to paint......my oil work is too stiff......
Jon, I like the way you made everything support the focal point cable car!! Very nice interpretation!!! I grew up in San Fran. and I have seen this scene a thousand times!!!! ...brings back a lot of memories of my kid - hood.
LOL!!! My largest painting has been 60 x 80 also cm....!!!! Perhaps some day I'll paint bigger!
I would say the ideal size is around 90 x 120 cm (cm not inches!). Free up my arm (and mind?) a bit...
You have certainly made me smile Jon! ONLY about 50x60? As a matter of fact I consider that quite big!!!! Mine is the half of that area... If I painted that big I suppose I would never finish a painting... What size is the one that you consider appropriate Jon?
PS Thanks for the photos, Jessica and everyone - it was hard to choose. I thnik I'll do one of the guys with greyhound type dogs!
It's the same painting - as I searched for solutions -your right Ningning - there's loads of things to change. In fact, need to start over (and much bigger!! this was only about 50 x 60 cm). Cars don't usually interest me - they sure do now!
Are these two paintings? or is one painting with different stage? I like them both. I like the way how you painted the far away buildings and cars.
