Wonderful painting, Jon - great feeling of motion with the gondola & the ripples in the water.  Just a minor point to shrink Marco a little!

I like this one the most.  I think you did a great job.  Wonderful feeling to the painting, but yes, your man is too big.  It is Goliath in a gondola.  I'll be a bit careful for him especially with a spear in his hand!

Both paintings are well done. If you "put him on a diet " this is my favorite of the two. I think this composition appeals to me and the dashes of color in the water etc is very interesting.
