I think the bear is great & the foreground is fantastic - love the golden grasses & rocks.  I'm not sure about the background - it seems very abstract compared to the realism of the foreground, but on the other hand, maybe that's something you were specifically trying to create?

oh yeah...you captured the grizzly's intense gaze..He looks as if he would turn and charge almost.. beautiful creature and you captured him well.  the background doesnt confuse me as it looks like the sun caught the snow just right on the mountain. Love the blurr.. really makes (him) appear closer

This an 11x14 acrylic on canvas.  Any comments are welcome, especially with the background.  Its my attempt at a blurry, out of focus mountain.  It confuses some viewers.
