Susie, I doubt Richard will postpone it, because he is accumulating more members every month.  There were a lot of good paintings submitted this month.  I would hope that the next competition will have as many submissions.   Stu

thanks nancy! - and stu - you're right..i only had time to do studies..both from my own references..i'm going to practice on richard's when i have a bit more time...did you guys get my note about maybe postponing december's challenge...not everyone around the world observes thanksgiving but i'm sure we all celebrate christmas!...busy..busy!!!!..

Susie, I did see your second one.  Nice clouds again, but composition not as strong as the first.  You need more verticals or diagonals in the painting; it is way too horizontal.  I had similar comments on several of my cloud studies from Richard's references.  I think the best one or mine is my painting from my own photo reference.   Stu
