11x14 oil on panel I am trying to make greens with thalo blue. It is a little hard to control but makes glowing greens. My limited palette was Thalo blue, Cad yellow light and Alizarin. I must confess that did sneek in a little Ult blue and Tit white. Questions, comment and suggestions are welcome.

I so enjoy looking at this painting, gives me the sense of quiet , calm  but mysterious place. You took the full advantage of your limited palette. It's absolutely a masterpiece.  I too find out that the limited palette brings the best into artist's work.

I've been really enjoying your painting using thalo blue Ann. Lots of variations of soft green. The sky has the same kind of soft brushstrokes. The rugged old building makes it complete. It's a peaceful quiet scene Great job!

I like the dreaminess about it Ann, I agree Thalo blue makes glowing greens.

Thank you Maria,Lori and Jessica your comments are so encouraging. I agree Lori that the foreground needs to have a value shift because that is alot of green in one spot. I did google Emile G and love his work he does use vibrant green but in small doses. My favorite of his are the tree paintings with soft blues and violets.
