This is my original plein air painting and as I wasn't too happy with it, I went over the whole painting (see my recent post).
Well, I'm not sure about either of them, but as this was completed a while ago, I now feel i'm learning more with the aid of my TCA friends and on-line support.

thank you Fay and Richard
Beautiful painting Glenys. Love it!
Love both versions Glenys - but think this is my favourite!
thanks Aurelia and Cristina as always, and Michael, I appreciate your comments and I think you are right. Sometimes we get too close to our own work and can't see 'the trees for the leaves" I've changed a few of my paintings over time and regretted it, so i'll ask you next time before I ditch one, now whose kidding - thanks for the laugh:))
Me Glenys ... love this version!! The colors relate and your value structure now gives the painting the illusion of reality. This version has good "far visual music" with your contrast of high saturation color and the muted greens .. a nice complimentary pair. Your contrast of light and dark at the focal point and your above mentioned contrast of saturation, nails that section as your focal point. I really like how you move us around with subordinate areas of interest, i.e., the little add on on the left, the fence posts, the interesting abstract pattern of the trees on the right. Nice entrance you gave us through the fence :) Glenys, don't go over any of your paintings unless you see us first! ..........JUST KIDDING :)))
Me too, I love both!
I actually like both! This is a much warmer painting and I like the fence posts.
