The broken color workshop result as I see it. It is not easy and as Richard said: don't touch that broken color if you can!
7 x 7 inches oil paint from workshop 31. I will have to paint many more to understand every parts of it.

Thanks Michael for the advice.

I will have to be very cautious choosing my colors value because in grey scale lookout they seemed to match very closely the the under colors but cumulative experience is like building a brick wall and you need a lot to build one side

Hi Jocelyn.  The problem you experienced with this is that the broken color you introduced on the light and shadow side, was too dark in value in both cases.  This caused a muddy mixture that destroyed the prismatic effect of broken color.  .......Yes, with practice, you will get it.
