20 cm x 15 cm, Oil, Plein Air

This is my first plein air painting in a city, That's Mannheim, my home town! I picked the Jungbusch, a vibrant quarter and it was a great experience. Didn't expect so many people around being interested in someone painting. The owner came over to see what i am doing and aked me to add some details of his café. Could have sold this to a couple of times there. Most importantly with all the commotion i think i did a good job. What a feeling!

Thanks Cristina!
Side story: the owner of the cafe came over and asked me whether i would add some more details on his place. 20 min later he drove by to have another look and bought the study. He is around 30 and drives a red Ferrari!

Wonderful - bright, happy atmosphere - just the right amount of detail...

Thanks Thomas! Should have written "reasonable" job instead. The fresh experience my first plein air cityscape carried me over the top :-)
