Do It

Approx. 50cm x 100cm, acrylic on stretched canvas. This is a commissioned work for Ascend Church, Rotorua. It is the centre panel of three, based on part of Ezra 7:10, "For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach..." It includes concepts such as the River of Life, bearing fruit, using your gifts, and so on. The white 'etchings' on the clear 'glass' panes represent various gifts and attitudes. I used various church members to be models for the hands. I had heaps of fun painting the bold colours and the crisp, black lines - which is why the second panel is done before the first!
