These are three rocks north of Eidi. I painted with oil on a canvas board size 6x9.5". I realized after I started that I had not painted undercoat so it took me longer, but I did it in one hour.
Again it was painted from my car.

Silvana, I live on a small island and nowhere far to go.  Thank you for your comment.

You know Steinunn,  I think all you need to do is  to paint some of the sky and sea colors into your rocks ..they look "detached" from the rest of the painting ...even though they are gray/green, as you said, they still need to relate to the rest of the painting.  Now, I notice you have the rock color in the sky and water ...that is good!! ..you don't need to worry about that ...now put the water and sky colors into the rocks.....that should tie everything together nicely ..:)

Thank you very much for you valued advice Michael, do you mean cooler gray green, the rocks are quite greenish.

Great to see you doing small studies!! ...since this is a rock study, I will concentrate just on the rocks ..I would suggest that you paint the light part of the rocks in a cooler gray ....leave the shadows warm like you have them now.  Anyway, give it a try and see what you think.
