Found this one very challenging! Took this photo in the evening & it's not the best, but wanted to get it posted in time for the workshop deadline. Could only have one row of buildings in the background because of the large scale of the boat.

Thank you very much, Suzanne - all taken straight from Richard's instructions :-)
Well done. Loved how you captured the glow of the pilings under the dock.
For the one we have drawn I just know 'muelle'... 'embarcadero' could be used, but boats need to be there. At the muelle, boats aren't necessary.
Thanks a lot, Michael & Silvana for your very kind comments! Silvana - actually, I don't know if there's much difference between the 3 words dock/pier/wharf - there's also another word, "quay", to make it even more confusing! Are there so many words for this structure in Spanish also?
It is beautiful Jessica!I specially love your boat. And love its name!!!!!!!
I have a problem with my language these days..., and I can't find the real difference between a pier. dock and wharf. When choosing my painting's title, I was between dock and pier,...I chose dock because it just sounded nicer...but wasn't sure if it WAS a dock or a pier... now that you have also chosen Dock, I see I was not that mistaken.... :)!
Very nice Jessica!! ....so far, you are the only artist who has put that important highlight on the rear of the boat! :) Wonderful play of warm and cool on the pier. The tonality of your buoys seem to be right on ...I like the warm reflection on the hull.
