Final Commission

This has been by far one of the most difficult paintings I have ever done and to begin with I need to explain. Client asked me if it was possible to print a photograph on a canvas and paint over it...WHAT! but she was serious. I told her it was possible but I have never done it before so no gaurantee's. She insisted. I thought this was going to be the easiest $$$ I have ever earned... WRONG. It was by far the most difficult. Change the colours and do a painting of the old masters on the wall... well... it is done.

Comment by Caryl Park on March 29, 2013 at 22:29: Thanks Dor. As much as the client is happy, and I will be doing another for them, I won't be making this my career, it doesn't allow for my own exression which is important for me. Maybe I am being challenged as to what exactly is art.
