Aurelia do not feel badly . I never sold anything either and the very same thing happened to me. I did have my family who went , some old friends and some other townspeople with a total of under 50 in all.I never let it bother me because I expected it after all. It is a small town where art is a luxury and not a priority. I looked at it as exposure for future times and it has helped me in that way. It was nice to know that some of my art was finally viewed in a real gallery and appreciated instead of hiding in my closet or under my bed. We move forward with it all because we simply love to paint. It is our calling so we continue. It was definitely a lot of work for me as well as I had to travel 2 hours there and back for a month. You are a great artist. Do not let this one experience bring you down. Move on . Continue to learn and paint. We do this for ourselves and not others. I have a lot of work . I have given many pieces to charities and have used the auction of my art for a higher purpose. Keep on this beautiful art journey and this gift within you. You will find your path.

Thank you and no it was awful!  I am still licking my wounds!  Only two couples came to the exhibition and one bought a painting.  And my brother, his wife and my artist friend.  I printed 500 flyers, posted them to all the people in the neighbor mailboxes and from them, none came.  Not one!!  Many people told me I must invited them to the exhibition and how they like my work, and then when you invite them, none came!  Not one!  Only two couples came and they were my brother’s friend as he later sms them asking them were are they?  I don’t get it.  It was the first time I exhibit in that area.  In my previous exhibitions, when I used to live in a fisherman’s village, all the people came and now I exhibit in a new area among very wealthy rich people, nobody was interested.  I’m stunned!  I read somewhere that at Richards’s first exhibition; also nobody came except his friends.  That make me feel not so bad, but still I feel bad!  Hopefully Donna did better at her exhibition!  Here you can see some of my paintings framed.
