Jim, we help each other. I never finish a painting before a lot of correction. I think that is because, even a simple small scene , there are so many elements I did not observe well or did not paint them in a good way or degree. I found that painting is a self criticize work. Now, we have so many classmates here to help us. It makes the job easier and happier.
Thanks Linda and Ningning for your comments. Sorry for being so late with a replay due to travel. Thanks Ningning for your insight. I have modified my painting based on your suggestions and they were helpful.
Jim,I like this painting. The building at the left is so well done, especially the upper part, excellent! The down part can be more defined. The background is in good shape too. But if I were you, I would soften the edges so that the building at the right side would withdraw farther. It would give the painting more depth. The water between the two buildings can be grey down, lower the croma as that part is far away. I enjoy your rocks very much. A good job.
Very nice and you painted a large picture too!
Thanks Dorian and Lori. Thanks Lori for your suggestions. I have downloaded #2 which I hope has corrected those problems in your spot-on comments. Jim
Good job! Your's is certainly a lot better than mine.....Smiles to you :))
