Flowers in Blue Vase

I like painting flowers. I like the contrast between their softness, organic forms and translucency and the hardness, geometric forms and opacity or transparency of vases.
This is from a ref photo. Comments and critiques welcome as usual.
Oil on 16x12 in, 40x30 cm canvas.

Severin on January 17, 2014 at 11:46: Very, very nice Michael!! ....I really love your brushwork ..and love those colors!!! :)) You know, I really like the way you let us "escape" from the vase into the background via that lost edge on the upper left of the vase. I am aware of them when I paint and try to do it, but not always successful with it. Nice job.
