Thanks Michael. Your absolutely right about not overworking it. Its a bit tricky to know when you are doing it though :) I can seen now however that this photograph is brighter than the painting which takes a bit away from the mystery of the piece.
I think what is bothering me most about it is that the water doesnt have enough life in it. The waterfall was roaring and the water was really rushing and splashing. How to capture that !? I think it needs just a bit more variation in value and edges. And like you guys say some more highlights on the rocks.
Hi Andri. Well my tip would be for you not to overwork this beauty!!! It does not need a whole heck of a lot. I think what Karlo suggested is very good.

Very good suggestion. haha yes I am a big admirer of Tibors work. But I think I need at lest 20 more years of painting to get anywhere near to where he is :)
Really beautiful paintings,
dont know if possible to improve it really with some accents of white or creamy colors applied thickly with knife or similar..over water or rocks (without doing too many), I would live it like this and tried another one to experiment something like this :
