Silvana I love this one! Your work is improving by leaps and bounds! I also love the photos you have put up! Are your photos available for anyone to paint?
Wordless ]!!!!!
Truly beautiful, Silvana! The mountain is especially wonderful - looks like you are ready to paint the Andes!!! I am going to do this too but only had time for step 1 so far! This is really impressive!
Stu, YES! You are right! I have used a textured panel and followed your instructions. I have placed gesso on it, but I think I have screwed up, and I think that my paintings won't last long on them. I have used MDF. But didn't paint it nor gessoed it on both sides. I think it absorbs humidity... I have prepared some, and the ones which have not a painting on them yet, are each time paler! They were gessoed, without water, and they are lighter and lighter!
I still haven't framed any of my paintings which were o paper or board... but I have bought some would which could be used as frames. I have to paint them, as they are just raw pine wood. Stu, would you mind posting a painting of yours with the frame, on both sides? I think it would help me a lot!
I really appreciate your interest Stu! Thank you very much!
THANK YOU EVERYBODY!!!! Isee it a bit nicer today, butI will put it away!
Silvana, it looks like you used a textured panel for this painting; am I correct? If so, what do you think of painting on textured panels? And how are you doing on finding frames for your beautiful paintings? Stu
Lovely work, Silvana. It was worth the effort.
