Guarding the Gate
12" by 16" oil on linen panel, studio painting. This is from my photo reference and there is morning sun on the rocks (about 10 AM. Not much fog that day.

Fantastic texture on that rock - the shrubs are so real looking & the reflection of the rock is beautiful. Very convincing, solid looking bridge too - looks safe to drive on! Maybe a tiny, tiny tilt to the right with the tower of the bridge - it might just be the photo? Great painting!
