I think this is it! - I didn't put my under painting up...but have done another series from the blue mountains here near Sydney - similar process. Yes I took all my gear outside (beautiful day - couldn't bear to stay in my studio) - and painted away with gusto for several hours - finishing both my paintings in one day. I'm hooked on this process and am loving doing little canvases.
