I tried something new with the background with splashing and transparent paint.

It's not easy to paint faces but you've captured a lovely expression. Well done.
Thank you for your kind comments. I used burnt umber and phthalo blue for the background thinned down with turps and linseed oil. Then I spashed clean turps lightly onto the canvas (the white spots) and then paint to get this effect.
The background treatment helps to bring her forward without distraction
