I paint these loose, vibrant and juicy apples set up in my shadow box. This allows me to manipulate the light, shadows and reflections adding for more interest. I try to lay down thick brushstrokes of oil paint and leave it on the canvas trying to use as few a brushstrokes as possible. My goal is to keep the loose appeal creating more of an abstract nature than a realistic painting. My favourite part is laying in the last touches of highlights to pop the apples.

I like your brush stroke and loosest painting. Yes, it looks more abstract and very nice. I'm painting now also apple and grapes, but try to do it more realistic. When I finish I show it. Thank you!
