This photo was taken in Martha's Vineyard 2 yrs ago..never painted it because it was such a busy background & I couldn't figure out how to simplify!!
Anyone is welcome to use this as a source photo with no restrictions!

Thanks Richard!! That's the plan..I can see it in my head, but the trick is to get it on the canvas!! Im going to try following the video for guidance:)

Great shot! You could just wash out the background with light like this, but maybe with a bit more structure in there:

I hadn't thought if that..you see..I get stuck in the details of the photo and haven't yet figured out what to keep & what to toss!! Please feel free to paint it if you like! I'd love to see what you come up with:)
