oils 40x30cm. Well, thank sto Michael's and Diane's suggestions I think I was able to improve my owl painting. Used the recommended Indianred, sharpened the edges, and worked the eyes a bit more. Instead of placing the atmospheric colour intothe owl, I added the new owl colours into the atmosphere....!
I find it nicer! I hope you all agree!!! ;) !!!!

Ok! I'll try doing that! I liked the Indian red quite a lot. Mr or (Mrs.)Owl's leg,... I wonder where it is.... hidden somewhere.. I'll try to look for a pic where I can see both legs.

Thanks Diane! And also thanks for the details on how you make such beautiful backgrounds!!!

Silvana, you started a "feeding frenzy" of bird paintings!!!  Very nice job on this painting .... can you possibly give Mr. Owl another leg?  BTW, your painting is very harmonious .. good job with that.  How did you like the Indian Red?  If this is still wet, try melding  the tip of the wing into the background (atmosphere) ... just take your brush and pull into the background a little.
