Nice variety in your greens and I think overall this is nice. I like what Michael pointed out about the shadows. Sometimes we see it but we do t fully understand the 'rule.' Michael is sooo good at making it simpler for us! I think some variety in your shadows would add interest. ( but I know because I'm still learning this too, that until you grasp why you should do something, you can't just randomly throw some colors in there) Painting is a slow journey, but practice is the only way to move forward. Don't give up, it's coming nicely!

PLease be completely critical. I am at a time in my art that I am discouraged and everything looks kitche and too controlled. I want to look more painterly realistic but I need some serious feedback because Im not seeing what I need to change.  Its like Im blind to it...

Hey Manneherrin, not to shabby for practicing!!!  I love your loose brushstrokes ... the near visual music!!!  Your edge work looks fine and your focal point is well indicated.  Nice illusion of depth.  Here is something to remember:  any shadow that is NOT being influenced by the sky will be ....Warm.  So that means, any shadow area that lies under rocks, crevices, eaves ..anything not touched by the light of the sky ..is warm.  All shadows that are hit by the light of the sky ..are ....Cool.
