I changed the value of the background in order to push them far away. I also softened the sunlight. Like a student, trying to correct any defect that I reccognized.

Pauline, Thank you. I am happy that you like it.  I tried my best. But this painting has two fatal defects. First, the canvas texture is too rough for this small size painting , the paints sank into the texture. Next time, I will use smoother canvas. Secondly, the size of the center of the interest, the biggest seagull, should be bigger so that this painting will be more impressive for the viewers, at least I think so. Anyway, I am happy about it as it is the first time for me to paint seagulls. Let's keep on improving, dear Pauline.
