600mm x 360mm watercolour on Arches 300gsm - just finished. A freeing up wash in the vertical plane suggested reflections of a beautiful sky, so I turned it sideways....

Hi Linda, thank you for your kindness.
Hello Silvana, thanks so much! :D
Hi Ro, thank you - just make the time to get in there and throw some paint and water around. I got back from a month of no art (AARrrggg!) and couldn't come up with a decent composition. This method always gets me going again!
Thank you Michael, the greatest compliment one can receive is that you've taken the viewer on a memory or a journey. I just do what the paint tells me, its the beauty of watercolour! You always see something in my work that I'm not sure I meant to do, but it turned out ok :D
Wow again...!!!!
Very nice Sandi. You have a gift of painting dreamlike melancholy emotions. That little lone boat and rower gives us, the viewer, a personal attachment to the painting. I love the way you counteracted the drama of the bright orange cloud (which could have overwhelmed the feeling of this painting) by your skillful use of spacial relationships and dominant horizontal movement ....wonderful.
...yes, I know it's spelt incorrectly ;-)
