Love MIchaels words of wisdom, I'm just filling my notebook with lots of great info. I will have to quote it now and again
We just talked about lost nd found edges on another painting, well done solid hard edges found on this tree trunk and good contrast with soft lost edges in the foliage. Variety of edges keep the painting interesting and intrigues the viewer
Karlo, I really like your variety in the grass. I also like your gradation from dark to light in the grass ..very good. As your horizon line exits the painting on the left, maybe that edge could be softened so it melts into the atmosphere ..as it is now, it drives are attention right there. Hey everyone, here is something I heard recently: A soft edge is nothing ...and hard edge is something ...think about that.
