Karlo, I did the same thing; grissaile too dark and too cool and the glaze went green like yours.  So, lesson learned from this one is: if you want to glaze warm colors over grays, keep your grays warm and 1 to 2 tones lighter than you expect your final painting to be.  Valuable lesson!   Stu
